End of Semester Thoughts
Our district is looking to go to a 1:1 model, so I thought that this project was an awesome way to help me understand what other districts are doing. It wasn't easy to work with a partner in China, but technology made it work! I've actually since sent this to our director of curriculum and he has said that he likes what we've put together and have looked already at parts of what we've come up with to implement into our own district. I'm part of the committee looking to bring 1:1 into our district and I intend to reference this document if given the opportunity.
District 1:1 Implementation Rubric
Ross Ewing and I decided to analyze what a possible 1:1 technology rollout could look like. My school district happens to be researching and planning to do such a rollout, so I thought this could be a great opportunity. Our superintendent has no such rubric to reference, so it's possible what Ross and I came up with could be adopted by our district. Our plan stretches from items not yet initiated to complete in several different realms, such as professional development, budget, and infrastructure. While communication proved difficult with Ross and I (he's in China), I think we have a solid rubric.
